The second leg for Daughtry’s first arena tour has been mapped out, as the alt-rock band continues to support “Leave This Town,” their album that was released last summer.
The band spent over three months last year on the road over the summer and fall during the trek’s first leg. The second leg will kick off in Baltimore, MD on March 18. The trek will hit over 50 cities and wrap up in Rochester, NY on June 19.
Fans who are on the email newsletter of Daughtry’s will be given access to passwords that can be used to pre-order tickets via Ticketmaster for upcoming Daughtry shows. Additional information is provided on the band’s website at daughtryofficial.com. The general public will be able to buy tickets starting January 22 and 23 for shows playing March 18-April 24. According to Daughtry’s camp, remaining dates are set to go on sale January 30 or February 6.
Chris Daughtry, namesake of the band and its leader said, growing up what you dream about is singing a song of yours in front of a house that is packed. When we are playing I still do get chills when I hear the fans singing our songs louder than us.
The second album for Daughtry, “Leave this Town,” follows the band’s self titled first album released in 2006. It debuted on the top of Billboard’s 200 chart. During the first week after it was released, according to data from Nielsen SoundScan, the album sold 269,000 copies.
“No Surprise,” the first single from the album, peaked on the Hot 100 Billboard chart at No. 15. It also topped the chart Adult Pop songs. The second single from the album, “Life After You,” was No. for four weeks on the chart Rock Digital Songs after it was released in October.
